Save the Date Wording

ideas, examples, and etiquette

Creative Save the Date Wording

If you are wanting to send creative save the date cards, you can convey your creativity with either the wording or the concept of the save the date.  When trying to make creative wording, you should think about your own personalities and preferences.  For example, if you have a favorite movie you could reference the title or include a favorite quote from the movie.  If you have a favorite hobby, you could refer to the activity in your save the date wording.  You could even refer to the city in which you are getting married.

There are plenty of creative save the date wording options available, but not many that we can

suggest.  Creative wordings are creative because they are unique.  Spend some time thinking about your personality as a couple and things you enjoy.  Create rhyme or verse that reflects something about yourself.

If you need some help getting started, below are some example wordings for creative save the dates.

Other Creative Ideas

You can have creative save the dates without creative wording too.  Even with the most basic wording, you could show creativity by using a unique concept for your save the date cards.  You could take photos of yourselves holding signs that say "Save" "the" "Date" individually and make a photo collage card.  You could send a calendar with your event date circled and more details about your wedding day like this one from Martha Stewart.  If you have the resources, you could even make a video production for your save the date cards like this one found on YouTube.  Be creative with your save the dates and use either a concept or wording that lets you show your personalities and preferences.
